National HSEQ, Risk & Compliance Support — Across Every State And New Zealand

Headquartered in Perth (Belmont, WA) and operating nationally. Robust HSEQ delivers HSEQ, risk and compliance support across every Australian state and territory — and New Zealand — with working knowledge of the WHS and OHS legislation in each jurisdiction.

Why It Matters

One partner. Every jurisdiction.

WHS legislation, regulators and industry expectations differ by jurisdiction. A WA-only consultant can leave your interstate and New Zealand operations exposed — applying the wrong Act, the wrong regulator, or the wrong expectations to sites that sit under a different regime.

Robust HSEQ operates nationally and can commence immediately, working across jurisdictions rather than solely within WA. Whether your teams are in Perth, on the east coast, up north or across the Tasman, you get one trusted partner who knows which laws apply where.

We’re the right call when…

  • Your operations span more than one state or territory
  • You’ve expanded interstate or into New Zealand
  • Your current consultant only knows WA law
  • You need cover for distributed or field-based teams
  • You need someone who can commence immediately
Where We Work

Jurisdictions We Cover

Every Australian state and territory, the Commonwealth, and New Zealand — each with its own governing law and regulator. Here’s who governs where.

Work Health and Safety Act 2011 (harmonised model laws), regulated by SafeWork NSW.

Queensland (QLD)

Work Health and Safety Act 2011 (harmonised model laws), regulated by Workplace Health and Safety Queensland.

Non-harmonised

Victoria (VIC)

Occupational Health and Safety Act 2004 (VIC) — a separate OHS regime, not the harmonised model laws — regulated by WorkSafe Victoria.

Commonwealth

Commonwealth

Work Health and Safety Act 2011 (Cth), regulated by Comcare for national and Commonwealth employers.

New Zealand

New Zealand (NZ)

Health and Safety at Work Act 2015, regulated by WorkSafe New Zealand.

The regimes, at a glance

  • Model WHS laws: NSW, QLD, SA, TAS, ACT, NT & the Commonwealth
  • Western Australia: its own WHS Act 2020, largely aligned to the model laws
  • Victoria: its own OHS Act 2004 — a separate, non-harmonised regime
  • New Zealand: the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015
  • We work fluently across all of them
Harmonised vs Non-Harmonised

Not Every State Reads From The Same Book

Most states and territories and the Commonwealth adopt the model WHS laws — that’s “harmonisation”. But it’s not universal, and the differences matter.

Western Australia has its own Work Health and Safety Act 2020, largely aligned to the model laws. Victoria remains under its own Occupational Health and Safety Act 2004 — a genuinely separate OHS regime. New Zealand sits under the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015. Getting this right is the difference between a system that holds up and one that quietly doesn’t apply.

FAQs

National Presence FAQs

Do you only work in Western Australia?

No. Robust HSEQ is headquartered in Perth (Belmont, WA) but operates nationally — across every Australian state and territory — as well as New Zealand. A WA-only consultant can leave interstate and NZ operations exposed; we work across jurisdictions rather than solely within WA.

Are the work health and safety laws the same in every state?

No. Most states and territories and the Commonwealth adopt the model WHS laws (harmonised). Western Australia has its own Work Health and Safety Act 2020 (WA), largely aligned to the model laws. Victoria remains under its own Occupational Health and Safety Act 2004, which is a separate OHS regime. New Zealand operates under the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015. We work fluently across all of them.

Can you support remote and field teams across the country?

Yes. We deliver virtual and remote consultation for distributed and field-based teams, plus in-person assessment where required, and can mobilise a local representative for in-person work.

Do you work in New Zealand?

Yes. We support New Zealand operations under the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015, regulated by WorkSafe New Zealand, alongside our Australian coverage.

Can you commence immediately and work to our timeline?

Yes. Robust HSEQ operates nationally and can commence immediately, working across jurisdictions and to your timeline — remotely for distributed teams and in person where required.

Operating across borders?

One call. One trusted partner across every state, territory and New Zealand. Confidential, practical, and ready to commence immediately.
